The mission of the
Jackson-Madison County Emergency Management Agency is to protect and
preserve life and property through the development and establishment of
comprehensive emergency management policies and programs for all local
levels. It is also to ensure the safety and welfare of the populace by
developing and maintaining a capacity to mitigate against, prepare for,
respond to, and recover from any natural, technological, or manmade
emergency.
Flood Insurance Information for
Tennessee
Persons wanting to purchase flood insurance should contact their
personal insurance carrier and request a National Flood Insurance
Program policy. The program is managed by the Federal Emergency
Management Agency’s Mitigation Division. More information on the program
